Mr Long Truong - Company Director

Mr Long Truong has 20 years experience in the Australian mattress manufacturing industry. He has worked in companies such as Dunlop Sleepmaker, Slumberking, and was one of the foundation members of SlumberCare Bedding in Western Australia. During his 11 years as Factory and Production Manager of SlumberCare, the company expanded the operation from the five founders, to a successful company which now employs over 75 people, with an average daily output of 350 to 450 pieces of bedding.

From 1997 to 2006, Mr Truong’s designs have won six awards from the Furniture Industry of Australia Association (FIAA). These have included Excellence in a Sleep Set, Excellence in Bedding Ensemble, Best of the Best and High Commendation. With his extensive experience, in May 2007, Mr Long Truong, in a joint venture with Mr Qun Hua Wang, established STB - Simplythebest, an Australian owned mattress manufacturer.

Long Truong and his family started STB in 2007 after creating thousands of mattress designs for the WA Bedding industry. Supplying both the independent and national chains with concepts that had always been cutting edge within the local industry as a Mattress designer, Long became disheartened by changes happening within the industry, and became dissatisfied with cheaper techniques and qualities passed by his previous employers, whilst trying to keep higher margins and profitability.

He decided that the only way to give people a true defined mattress with the highest standards without sacrifice, was to start up his own Company, which became known as STB. Long decided from day one that, if salespeople selling mattresses really wanted to do the general public justice purchasing a great quality product, they would look to someone new, that wanted to stand on true merits and deliver a real honest product.
